Days 22-23...Victoria River

We left Litchfield park and headed south, back to Katherine, where we stocked up on groceries, then ate a picnic lunch in the car as we went west to Victoria River.
We booked into The Victoria River Roadhouse...the scenery was stunning...not at all what we expected...beautiful rich coloured escarpments and much greener vegetation. The river was absolutely beautiful. There was nowhere near as much traffic here as there had been on the Stuart Highway, and the camping spot was very peaceful.
Dave put out a bait trap overnight  and caught a yabby, which he had for breakfast.
There was an escarpment walk...we walked about halfway up, and the views were great.

After dinner on the second night we spent there, Dave threw his bait trap and a few scraps over the old bridge, and a crocodile swam over to see was going on. All the creeks and river have signs warning of the presence of crocodiles.
