Day 21...Darwin to Litchfield Park

Said our goodbyes to Carol and Barry, heading back to Qld, and to Tony and Rhonda....very appreciative of being able to set up Rosie at their place whilst in Darwin.
We drove down to Litchfield National Park today, and got the last available spot to set up Rosie.
On the way in there were lots of big ants' nests.

Went down to the waterfall at Wangi...Dave had a swim in the pool under the waterfall...very pretty spot, but a few too many people. Dave went for a walk while I sat under the trees reading my book. He discovered a bower, made by the local bower birds. They had collected lots of pale ggrey shells and rocks, bits of foil and glass...not as much blue as the bower birds at home.

  1. This has to be one of my favourite posts. That waterfall looks incredibly inviting! Are there many freshwater crocs in places like these? And the bower bird's nest is SOO COOL! Isn't nature beautiful? What incredible creatures we have in this country! Keep the wildlife/ scenery pics coming please! Loving it xxx
